Successful Chinese families have been looking for investment immigration projects all over the world, and they have always been the main force of immigration projects in most countries, and the number of applications often reaches or exceeds the country’s visa quota for China. The EB-5 industry has also benefited greatly from billions of dollars in funding from Chinese investors. 2014 was an important turning point. The number of applications submitted by Chinese applicants exceeded the visa limit of 10,000 for an unprecedented rate. Today, the USCIS estimates that the waiting time for obtaining a green card may be more than 10 years due to the waiting time, and many families who do not hope to immigrate to the United States through the EB-5 program will switch to other countries.

Because the place of birth cannot be changed, there is no way for Chinese applicants to circumvent the schedule except for marrying someone who was not born in Mainland China. However, there are many ways to alleviate the scheduling difficulties, such as "waiting" with a non-immigrant visa to the United States.
